The mission of the Marshall County Arts Commission is to insure the inclusion of the cultural heritage of the Arts in Marshall County, aid in providing venue opportunities for Arts presentations by and for the citizens of Marshall County and assist in securing financial support for these provisions. The Commission seeks to serve as a catalyst for the development of an appreciation for the Arts as a whole and all the disciplines therein.

The primary goal of the Marshall County Arts Commission is to build an appreciation of the arts throughout the community. The Commission's structure focuses on membership expansion and identifying sources of financial support that will result in the building of public awareness of the Commission itself. Secondly, the Commission seeks to research and promote the cultural heritage of the Arts in Marshall County. The Commission expects to successfully present activities that will appeal to the public and also showcase the talent of individuals from within the county. In doing so, the Commission hopes to achieve a balance in all Art disciplines.

Long-term goals include the formation of a Speake
r's Bureau and the development of sound relationships with regional artists and art groups. The Commission would like to develop long-term relationships with individuals responsible for venues within the county and encourage the balance of venues for activities. The Commission strives to provide support to continued traditions within Marshall County.
